Sprich Mit Mir

Learn German from zero to C2 by speaking, not just memorizing, with an English or Arabic interface.

Sprich Mit Mir is a German learning app for learners all over the world. Hints, explanations and meanings come in English or Arabic (one button at the top of the screen switches them), you speak German from the first lesson, and you know right away whether your pronunciation is correct.

Instant pronunciation feedback
Say a word or sentence out loud and the app compares it with the target word by word, then gives you a score and tips to improve. Build your own sentence from the day's words and get it corrected. You can also record yourself and compare it with the original pronunciation, and repeat sentences after the speaker (shadowing). Natural German voices read every word and sentence aloud.

Real exams, in German only
Unit exams, level exams and the placement test are written in German only, like the real thing: gap sentences, listening, dictation and speaking. In review, the translation stays hidden until you tap Show translation.

AI tutor and real-life situations
Chat with an AI tutor that speaks only German, by voice or text, so every conversation is real practice. Pick a scene and goals and get your mistakes corrected, with short notes in your language. Practise real situations in Germany: the doctor and pharmacy, registering your address, opening a bank account, viewing a flat, buying a train ticket, work, plus customer-service (call centre) calls and job interviews.

German for work
Vocabulary and situations for nursing and healthcare, medicine, engineering, hotels, restaurants and sports, for anyone preparing to work in Germany, Austria or Switzerland.

Camera translation
Photograph German text from a book, a letter or a sign and get the words with their meanings. The photo is read on your phone itself.

Live speaking sessions and lectures
Join voice and video rooms with other learners at your level to practise speaking, take a short daily voice call with another learner, and attend live lectures with recordings you can watch later.

Practice in the style of the Goethe exams
Train the four exam skills (listening, reading, writing and speaking) in the format of the Goethe-Institut exams from A1 to C2, with full mock exams and a level placement test. This app is not affiliated with the Goethe-Institut.

My Plan: a personal plan to your goal
Answer a few questions and get a day-by-day plan to the date you choose, focused on the skills you want, plus a daily recap of what you learned.

Smart review and clear progress
Spaced-repetition review that brings words back before you forget them, a view of your four skills, your streak, achievements and a printable completion certificate in German issued by the app.

Community
Chat rooms for every level, private messages with friends, and tools to report or block anyone.

Challenge and motivation
A daily live quiz league, duels with other learners, points and achievements, and a weekly ranking with friends.

Lessons, levels and exams are free. Some extras, such as more daily AI-tutor messages and the full mock exams, are optional.

Note: this app is a practice tool and does not replace a teacher who speaks the language. The completion certificate is issued by the app and is not an official Goethe-Institut certificate.
