StandBy: Bedside Clock

Your phone becomes a bedside clock.

Set your phone on a charging stand in landscape and StandBy takes over: a
full-screen, OLED-black clock — big, readable, free of distractions. Unplug or
pick it up and it steps out of the way. No taps, no buttons, nothing to
remember.

★ HOW IT WORKS
• Charging + horizontal on a stand → the clock appears automatically
• Rotate back upright or unplug → it closes
• Opens over the lock screen — no unlocking needed

★ MAKE IT YOURS
• Four faces: Digital, Flip, Analog, Big
• Nine fonts — from clean Roboto Light to a seven-segment LED look
• Four colours: White, Amber, Ice, Red
• Swipeable pages: weather + battery + next hours, calendar, and a photo frame
• Glance line: next alarm + weather under the clock

★ GENTLE AT NIGHT
• Night mode: warm red tint in a dark room, inside hours you choose
• Night sleep: the screen fades to true black once you're settled; a tap or a
nudge brings it back
• Adaptive brightness follows the light in your room
• Burn-in drift shifts the clock subtly, pixel by pixel

★ HONEST ABOUT PERMISSIONS
StandBy needs a few one-time permissions to do its one job automatically
(display over other apps, notifications, battery-unrestricted). Setup walks you
through each one. The app does nothing else: no accounts, no ads, no analytics.

Weather is optional and powered by Open-Meteo. Everything else stays on your
phone.

★ QUIET BY DESIGN
A tiny watcher runs in the background and the clock appears only when you need
it. The app never tracks you and has no servers of its own.
