Starfall I’m Reading is the final step of Starfall’s free early learn-to-read sequence. I’m Reading! focuses on bridging the gap between basic phonics and true reading mastery. The program expands fluency and comprehension through exercise with words from the Dolch and Fry sight word lists. These words are challenging to sound out phonetically, but represent the majority of words found in children’s texts. Familiarity with these words builds confidence and natural ease with reading. The texts cover a wide range of multicultural fiction and nonfiction stories, with clickable words and sentences for fluency assistance throughout.

I really enjoyed this app, and it will be easy for the younger users to maneuver and those that may have limited motor skills. It can be used as a good morning starter in the classroom or for a 5-minute in class break. This app offers a variety of activities that involve listening to stories such as folk-tales, fiction, non-fiction, and comic books. The user also has access to clip-and-drag puzzles to make sentences, clip-and-drag words to puzzle blocks, plays, Greek myths, Chinese fables, and a variety of lessons on morals, opposites, etc. However, there are in-app purchases that will need to be made in order to gain access to other activities such as the talking library, money, and math links. I particularly like the way the stories are told. The words are highlighted as the narrator reads and the pages will not turn until the user clicks for it to, which may encourage the user to look at the illustrations to make predictions, perhaps try to read the words, etc. Overall, I find this app to be very useful, especially for younger users and for those who struggle with reading and just needs something fun to play while increasing reading skills and much more. It is excellent app my kids love it, I love it too. Using this app/ book my kids was able to practice reading with fun. Please get it. They get 3 of star fall products/app/book, and they love all three. It is a great help for me to sometimes leave my children alone to just read and had fun all day. One is 4 years Old, and she doesn't want to be bother when she's reading. Pls. Get it.
