Description
Static Pressure Calculator turns four HVAC manometer readings into a clear restriction check for the filter, coil, return duct, or supply duct. Compare total external static pressure (TESP) with the equipment's rated maximum, review each pressure drop, and export a one-page PDF job record.
On a weak-airflow or high-static call, enter readings from four guided ports: return before the filter, after the filter, across the coil, and supply. Choose a furnace-plus-coil or air-handler profile. The app calculates filter and coil pressure drops, return and supply duct losses, available static, and the component most over its editable budget. Results are calculations from the values you enter, not a claim that a component has failed.
Swapped ports, out-of-range values, and profiles that do not add up are flagged with what to re-check. Save readings by job and address, compare the record after corrective work, and share a PDF that documents the entered readings and calculated pressure profile.
The friction-rate calculator uses the standard planning equation: friction rate = available static x 100 / total effective length. You enter total effective length and accessory losses; the app does not guess them or size the duct system.
Use the digital or analog manometer already in your bag. There are no Bluetooth probes to pair, no account, no ads, and no subscription. The app has no Android internet permission, so working records stay on the device unless you explicitly export or share a PDF. Reports can include your company name and logo and have no watermark.
Every result shows its math. Default pressure budgets are editable, and the Source Notes screen explains the guidance used for the starting values. Enter the equipment's rated maximum external static pressure from its nameplate or installation instructions; manufacturer data is the authority.
This is an HVAC diagnostic and planning aid, not a duct sizer or Manual D tool. It includes no manufacturer blower tables. Static pressure is not airflow, and a restriction result is field-triage guidance—not a failure diagnosis. Recheck port placement and readings, then verify against manufacturer data and project requirements before changing or condemning equipment. StaticDoctor is not affiliated with any training organization or tool manufacturer.

Recent changes: First release. Build a total external static pressure profile from your manometer readings and see whether the filter, coil or duct is the restriction.
