It doesn't stay connected, I'm not sure if it's a daily thing or when you leave the local network. It's great to have the channel labels in the app, and it will let you skip over the sea of unwanted channels.

Kind of neat, works great, but I was looking for something to change inputs on the TV, so no need to have this app on my phone, but if you're looking for a second remote, this thing works flawlessly. Just go to the hotels' homepage, press 1 and add the code on the TV to the app.

This app allows you to change the channels and volume on a hotel TV without the other features of the actual remote control. I apologize to my TV remote for wasting its time.

I came across one reviewer who stated they got casting to work with this app by casting from the source app directly. More accurately, they were able to cast from their phone IN SPITE OF this app. This app only supplies a power button, volume, and basic channel list (codes only, no guide). If the TV is not already set up to accept app output, this app does not add that functionality. Neat concept, but functionally nearly useless.
