Steady EQ: Equalizer & Bass

Steady EQ is an equalizer for Android that is built to stay on. It shapes the sound of your music and video apps, and it always tells you where it's live, so you never have to wonder if it's actually working.

STAYS ON
• A watchdog re-attaches the moment a player restarts or Android switches the effect off
• The status pill shows exactly which apps the EQ is reaching right now
• If another equalizer or booster takes over your sound, Steady EQ tells you and lets you take control back
• Diagnostics show what works on your phone, app by app

SHAPE YOUR SOUND
• 10-band equalizer with a live curve
• Bass, 3D surround and loudness controls
• Volume-matched loudness: quiet music keeps its bass as you turn down
• Always-on limiter caps peaks before they distort
• Listening estimate shows how long your current level is comfortable each day
• Fine-tune: precise bell and shelf filters on top of the 10 bands, plus a pre-amp

PRESETS
• Ready-made genre presets
• Save your own sound and get it back in one tap
• Share a preset as a QR code or a message; anyone with Steady EQ can import it
• Per-app presets: give each app its own sound

HEADPHONES
• Remembers each pair of headphones and switches presets when they connect
• Personal sound: a 2-minute listening check that lifts the frequencies you hear least on your headphones

ALWAYS WITHIN REACH
• Quick Settings tile for one-tap on and off
• Home-screen widget with status, preset and power
• Quiet notification with "Next preset" and "Turn off"

REACH MORE APPS
Some apps never tell Android which audio is theirs. Steady EQ attaches to those through system-wide mode, or through optional session scanning after a one-time permission you grant from a computer. The app explains each step.

GOOD TO KNOW
• Browser audio and protected video can't be changed by any equalizer app
• Running two equalizers on the same audio makes both misbehave, so keep one switched off
• Personal sound tunes your sound. It is not a hearing test.
• Some features, such as fine-tune filters, per-app presets, auto-switching and personal sound, are part of Steady EQ Pro.

Recent changes:
New: themes. Give Steady EQ a whole new look: Minimal, Retro or 8-bit, each in light, dark and pure black. Pick one of seven accent colors to go with it.

Try them on for free: open Settings → Theme and tap one, and the whole app changes right away. Keeping a theme is part of Pro.
