I really love the fact that I can finally pull together movie purchases from multiple sites and download them to a device or 2 to watch offline, especially when traveling. I haven't started using the DVR function for TV shows yet, but I will try for The Witcher Season 4.

On android...consistently freezes and won't record. Will get an hour into recording and revert to 0 and sit for a day or until you submit a request, and they unfreeze it. If a video is frozen, you can't just delete it and let the next movie in the queue to record. So all the movies have to wait for as much as a day.

I am a longtime user of play on but as far as casting from the cloud, it has become very unreliable. As soon as I can download my recordings, I plan to either downgrade the service or delete it all together.

I tried the app using a Google streamer. I first tried using the play on Windows app to cast to the streamer using commercial-skip. The show started off fine, but froze when it hit the first commercial. No amount of restarts could get it to play past that point. Next, I tried casting from Windows directly to the late-model Samsung tv that the streamer was connected to, and it worked fine. Apparently, the streamer and the Windows Play on app did not get along.
