Description
stuntzurl is a application that, once installed, will handle ".url" files. These files are created by Internet Explorer for its favorites.
Just copy Internet Explorer's favorites on your phone then you can click on them from any file manager. A browser will launch with the correct URL.
Please note: - the application will not add a new launcher icon - if your file manager asks you how to handle the file, answer something like "as a text file" - when the app asks you for permission to read from external storage, answer yes. It's needed to read the .url file
Recent changes: - now requires Gingerbread (2.3) as a minimum - added support for Nougat

Awesome Finally found it! Been looking for an app like this for months. Now I can use my PC's IE Favorites, uploaded to my Sugar Sync account, directly from Sugar Sync on my Android. Samsung Sidekick 4G Frodo.

It works! This app works. I tested it. I save my favorites on my Dropbox and I wanted to be able to open it on my android phone. Android does not support .url files but this app made it so that I can open up IE shortcuts from my android phone. When you click on a .url it asks you with what program you want to open. Select Stuntzurl and that's it. If it doesn't ask you if you want to open it with this app, and my default its opening with another app, go to you application manager and clear the defaults for the app that is taking over that extension and try again. The only thing i don't like is that when I open the .url file and press back to exit the browser, there is a black screen that only says stuntzurl, so I have to press back again. I feel like this is something that might get fixed in an update. BTW I am running ICS, and no problems. Great job dev, please keep up the great work.

Doesn't work Note 3 with 4.4.2. When you open an url, and select this app, the app just hangs.

Doesn't seem to work in lollipop... I used to love this application, but now it is not working in android lollipop if the developer could fix this that would be great!
