Are you tired of having to take your heavy laptop, tangled charger, and clunky card reader with you on trips? Do you want to send signed and encrypted emails and access PIV/CAC protected sites right from your Android phone or tablet?
With Sub Rosa Pro for Android you can do this and more! Sub Rosa Pro for Android includes all of the same great features as Sub Rosa for Android with added support for 3rd party readers (any USB reader that shows up as a CCID device) and derived credentials.
Sub Rosa Pro for Android is a strong, two-factor CAC/PIV secure authentication agent and web browser that smoothly coordinates reader and card access on your Android phone or tablet. Sub Rosa Pro provides full access to your OWA calendar. Allowing you to view, create, and respond to events from your Android phone or tablet.
How does it work?
Instead of a username and password, Sub Rosa Pro for Android uses US Government CAC or PIV smart cards and PINs with authentication to a card reader accessory or derived credential. This allows you to log-in to two-factor websites and sign, encrypt, and decrypt email. This also gives you full access to calendaring, which makes managing and coordinating meetings easier than ever.

Well after months of trial, it is working for me. I pretty much use the app just for email and everything is working for me now to include encrypting and signing emails.
★★★★★
UPDATE!!! SUCROSE works with AF PORTAL!!! Make sure you enable "dual cac persona", No idea what that means, but it lets you select your certs to get on the portal. Still having trouble with OWA, but currently it is working better than the last Windows machine I was on.
★★★★★
Worked as hoped for in reading government email CAC certs.
★★☆☆☆
Downloaded for using military CAC on a Samsung tab S7 and no luck. I can't get it to work and for $100 I feel it should operate as advertised. Be aware you can't get a refund either. I contacted Google and was told it didn't meet their refund policy, so I shot $100 down the drain.
★★☆☆☆
This app is not functional. Reads certs on CAC but does not load ANY DoD websites. Apparently NOT compatible with Note 10+ running Android 11. I've emailed technical support twice, called once, and have received NO response. Buyers beware.
★★☆☆☆
Only worked for Army EES and JKO. Kind of cool to be able to work on evals on my phone and tablet but not worth the cost of their CAC reader. Could NOT access Army Outlook, Teams, My Pay, perms or HRC sites, DTS (read certificate and allowed me to insert pin but even after 10 mins of waiting, failed to access the site), and AKO1. Was using Samsung Galaxy phone and tablet with Thurs by Type-C CAC reader with Sub Rosa Pro. Emailed Thurs by support. Will update this review if anything changes.
★★☆☆☆
Saw the bad reviews but decided to give it a try regardless and was surprised when I actually got into the Air Force portal at first, but then the problems started. I couldn't seem to access any other CAC enabled sites (not even email) and attempting to call support led to a voicemail box. On top of that the app kept loading and unloading my certs randomly making it frustrating to even attempt to use. Honestly not worth your time or $100.
