Requires root to fully function yet is deeply tied to google. Premium features require a Google sign-in, and worse, if you lose access to your Google account you lose access to your swift backup data. There's nothing inherent to the app's function that would require this. There are other annoyances like not being able to set monthly schedules or choose a custom location for the backups. It is the most polished and reliable backup application, which makes the above issues more unfortunate.

The new KING for android backups with/without root. RIP Titanium Backups. Long live Swift Backup. With root, you can back up all your apps, Wi-Fi, SMS, and setup schedules with ignore lists. Very happy with it. Wish they had a pro version for googled users that you could just buy as an app instead of an in-app purchase.

Swift Backup works well with Kernel and Magisk, but it fails to support Superuser, making data backup impossible. Additionally, when using Suzuki, the app doesn’t allow data backup or restore, which makes it unreliable. These issues need to be fixed for it to be a truly effective backup solution for all root users.

Garbage. Without root, it will only back up the APK of an app and not the app data, leaving you with a false sense of security.
