Welcome to the SWIPE Study!
How does early screen use affect a child’s development? Join three Swiss Universities in the SWIPE project (SWIss study on Preschool screen Exposure): a national longitudinal study investigating the impact of digital media on the socio-emotional, language, and motor skills of preschoolers.
Your Contribution Matters This app is your gateway as a parent (and expert!) to share your experiences. Over the course of one week, the app helps you effortlessly share insights into your child's daily routine:
Daily Time-Use Diary (TUD): Spend just a few minutes a day logging your child’s activities and media engagement.
Passive Sensing: Securely and anonymously share app-usage logs to help compare digital family habits with real-world development.
SWIPE-Actimetry Integration: If you are part of our Watch Study, the app supports the collection of physical activity and sleep data from your child's wearable device.
