Learn all 26 cantons of Switzerland - from Zürich and Basel-Stadt to Geneva and Lucerne: * Names of Swiss cantons; * Location of cantons on the maps; * Capitals: for example, Sion is the capital of Valais. * Coats of arms / Flags.
Cantons are the member states of the Swiss Confederation. Choose the game mode: 1) Spelling quizzes (easy and hard). 2) Multiple-choice questions (with 4 or 6 answer options). 3) Time game (give as many answers as you can in 1 minute) - you should give more than 25 correct answers to get a star. Two learning tools: * Flashcards. * Table of all 26 cantons.
The app is translated into 9 languages, including English as well as official languages of Switzerland: German, French, and Italian. So you can learn the names of the Swiss cantons in any of them. Advertisements can be removed by an in-app-purchase.

Increased my knowledge of Switzerland I like this app. To learn best, start with the basic quizzes (map, capitals, coats of arms). Exploit the hints wisely. Then move on to the general, multiple choice quizzes below. I agree that one needs a minimal knowledge of the country to get started. After all, this is a quiz ap. Beware of loud ads that randomly pop up and play sound even if ap is muted. Mute phone or avoid playing next to a sleeping baby.

It works ok now Yesterday I tried 5 times, and I got the "Package file was not signed correctly". Today I could install the software, it's working. My problem is I really miss the teaching part (I'm in the 1st part with the canton names). This app is for someone, who already knows the cantons, etc. So why would they want to test themselves? There should be a guessing part, with 4 answers, or a flashcard type game in this part too. Otherwise, I like the game (that's why I'm writing about it). And it is great that the developer reacted instantly for a bad review and offered help. Therefore, I give 5 stars.

Zürich is now called Bern When Zürich is highlighted on the map, the answer accepted as correct is Bern.
