Swiss German A1.2 Course

Swiss German A1.2 Course continues where A1.1 left off and teaches real Schwiizerdütsch — the language people actually speak in Switzerland, not standard German. Twenty-two modules take you from reviewing your A1.1 basics to holding everyday conversations: greetings and small talk, family, living and housing, the town and finding your way, shopping, eating and drinking, modal verbs, free time and hobbies, both past tenses, travel and public transport, work and professions, health and the body, clothes and appearance, weather and the seasons, appointments, phoning and writing, joining sentences, Swiss German pronunciation, everyday Swiss vocabulary, and regional differences.

Each module has four lessons — Vocabulary, Grammar, Dialogue and Exercises — so you read, hear, understand and practise every topic before moving on.

VOCABULARY WITH AUDIO
458 vocabulary cards, each with the Swiss German word, an example sentence, and native-sounding Swiss German audio for both. Every card is translated into all 13 interface languages.

GRAMMAR, EXPLAINED SIMPLY
44 grammar points covering what A1.2 actually needs: modal verbs, the perfect tense with both "ha" and "sii", conjunctions and sentence linking, and the pronunciation patterns that turn standard German into Swiss German.

REALISTIC DIALOGUES
22 everyday conversations between Swiss German speakers, shown as a chat so you can see exactly who says what, and hear every line spoken.

FOUR KINDS OF EXERCISE
176 exercises across four types — multiple choice, fill in the blank, matching, and listening comprehension, where you answer from the audio alone. Instant feedback and a score at the end of every lesson.

SPACED-REPETITION REVIEW
Words you have learned are queued automatically on a spaced-repetition schedule, so vocabulary actually sticks instead of fading after the lesson.

SEARCHABLE DICTIONARY
Every word in the course in one searchable list — look up anything you half-remember without hunting through modules.

TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
Day streak, best streak, lessons and modules completed, and how many words are waiting in your review deck, all on one screen.

13 INTERFACE LANGUAGES
English, German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Albanian, Arabic, Estonian, Russian, Romanian, Bosnian/Croatian/Serbian and Japanese — every menu, every translation and every explanation.

WORKS OFFLINE
All 22 modules and all 1,832 audio clips are built into the app. No streaming, no download step, no connection needed once installed.

You do not have to have finished A1.1 — module 1 is a full review of the A1.1 material, so you can start here if you already know some Swiss German.
