Swords of Dawnlight is a choice-based fantasy otome visual novel with four love interests and multiple endings. You train as a knight, uncover the truth about your own bloodline, and decide where your loyalty and your heart belong.
Synopsis
You spent your life helping out at your foster parents' inn. Then everything changes: you're accepted into a prestigious program under the Knights of the First Light, the elite order famed for their victories over demons. Their greatest feat remains the sealing of Lucifer, the Demon King, nearly three hundred years ago.
You train relentlessly to earn your place in the endless war against demonic forces. The drills are brutal, but your bond with the other Knights starts to take root.
Then strange things begin happening. The Order's explanations don't quite line up, and the truth about your own heritage shatters everything you thought you knew about yourself.
Meanwhile, Alecto, a dark organization operating from the shadows, makes its move. Before long you're tangled in a web of secrets, justice, and desire. In all that chaos, can you find the strength to forge your own path, and your own love story?
Characters
Cyd — the solitary knight
"If it's used for good… can it really be called evil?"
Stoic and self-contained, Cyd is a lone wolf within the Order. He isn't unfriendly so much as genuinely baffled by people. His reserve has kept his past a mystery even as he rose swiftly to vice-captain of the Second Division. Still, something about him feels oddly familiar.
Will you be the one to unlock the truth behind that guarded heart?
Kaelan — your abrasive partner
"The strong survive. The weak perish. That's the law of the world."
Confident to a fault and cold with it. As your assigned partner, Kaelan pushes you past your limits, convinced a Knight's life should never be easy. His hatred of demons runs deep, and so does his contempt for weakness. You can sense a trauma he refuses to look at directly.
Can you get through his walls and help him heal?
Gwyn — the enigmatic special forces knight
"Don't trust others so easily. Most of them will let you down."
A chivalrous smile covering a deeply private nature. Gwyn handles every mission with precision, though a mischievous streak keeps you permanently on your toes. He protects you in his own strange ways, and there's clearly a reason he keeps his distance.
Can you earn his trust, and maybe his heart?
Dante — the leader of Alecto
"If doing what's right makes me the villain, so be it. I'll walk this path to the end."
The charismatic head of the organization threatening the peace. He tries to draw you to his side at every turn, with ideals that sound unhinged and yet strangely persuasive. The more often you cross paths, the harder it becomes to dismiss his unshakable sense of justice.
Will your feelings shift as you uncover the man behind the villain in Season 2?
