Whether you’re in need of a Handyman, Heavy Lifter, Junk Removalist, House Cleaner, Carpenter, Snow Shoveler…. Post your task on Sydetasker. We provide qualified Taskers to help you complete any job that you cannot (or do not want to) do yourself!
HOW IT WORKS 1. Create and post your task for free 2. Experienced Taskers put offers on your task, and are allowed to ask questions for more details on the task 3. Choose & accept your preferred Tasker 4. Discuss time/date with your Tasker, and get it done!
PAYMENT Payment is all simply handled through the Sydetasker Payment Platform. We hold the customer’s money securely while the task is being completed, to make sure it is done right, before any money is transferred.
Payment is negotiated between the Tasker and the Poster (Customer). We believe that every task is different, as well as every Tasker; so we leave negotiation power in your hands. Sydetasker keeps the platform running by charging a service fee to Taskers. This fee will be included in the Tasker’s quotes.

My dad put out a job worth a $750 payout (when you list a job you have to put the money your paying someone into the app) The people that were supposed to do the job canceled out. Sydetasker is now telling him that they don't have his money, so they're not able to give him a refund (the credit card company confirmed they paid sydetasker). Now he's out the money and the job still isn't done, and he's jumping through hoops with the credit card company as a result.

I'd love to change my review...but as the app stands it is not possible to speak with the taskers you are considering for a job. The contact info gets blocked and there isn't a way to communicate our phone numbers or emails with one another to interview, or make plans to speak personally about the work needed. I need to be able to have a potential "tasker" pop by and look at the job sometimes beforehand to make sure they can and want to do it. The app puts too many limits on information.

Maybe it's better in a different area, but it seems like the Milwaukee area there's 10 ppl waiting to bid on the one job that pops up per week. If you're looking to get a job done for you, it might be a good app, if you're looking for gigs, be prepared for heavy competition. It does have room to grow, however.

Don't even bother installing this app if you live on the East Coast! They apparently don't service anywhere. Waste of time trying to sign up.

Terrible app, if it's not a scam it's damn close. No ability to start a dispute or request a refund when my Tasker no showed. FAQ even leaves its section on what happens if they perform poorly empty. Do not attempt to make use of this. Will update further once I attempt their email support. Update: Two days later and no response from support. Unsurprised, which means the money I paid will be held in "escrow" forever. Along with the fee to use it. Blatant theft. Do NOT use this app.
