Description

Ebu Cafer Muhammed b. Yezid b. Galib et-Taberi hicri 224 (miladi 839) yılında Taberistan’ın Amul şehrinde doğdu. 7 yaşında Kur'an-ı Kerim’i ezberledi. 12 yaşında iken ilim tahsili için yaşadığı şehirden ayrıldı. Mısır, Şam ve Irak'da zamanın büyük alimlerinden dersler aldı. Sonunda Bağdat’a yerleşmeye karar verdi ve hicri 310 (miladi 923) senesinde vefat edinceye kadar orada yaşadı. Genç yaşlardan itibaren hadis toplamaya ve ezberlemeye başlayan Taberi hadis ilminden derinleşerek muhaddisler arasına girmiş, daha sonra telif ettiği “Camiu’l-Beyan fi Tefsiri’l -Kur’an” adlı tefsirinde bu çalışmalardan geniş ölçüde yararlanmıştır. İmam Taberi, çağının en büyük alimlerinin başında gelmektedir.
