Tabshed: GP5 Guitar Tab Viewer

A GP5 viewer and guitar tab player for the tab files you already own, with a speed trainer that gets you from slow to full tempo. Works offline. No ads, no account.

Open .gp3, .gp4, .gp5, .gpx and .gp files, see tablature and standard notation together, and hear every track played back by the built-in synthesizer. Guitar, bass and drum tabs all play, and you can mute or solo any track.

Practice tools

• Guitar speed trainer: start at a comfortable tempo and let Tabshed raise it after each set of clean loops until you reach full speed.
• A-B loop: repeat the hard bars as many times as you need.
• Tempo shown as a percentage and in BPM, so you always know how fast you are playing.
• Transpose a song up or down to fit your tuning or voice.
• Mute, solo or turn down any track: practise lead over the rhythm part, or play bass with the drums.
• Practice timer for each session.

A tab viewer that is easy to read

• Wrapped page layout that flows like sheet music, or a single horizontal line.
• Pinch to zoom until the notation is comfortable on any phone or tablet.
• Light and dark themes, with the score kept high-contrast in both.
• Tabshed reopens each song at the bar where you stopped, with your zoom, layout and mix.

Guitar tabs offline, ready for rehearsal

• Imported files are kept as copies on your device, so your tabs still open with no signal.
• Setlists: put songs in order and play straight through a set for rehearsal or a gig.
• Folders, search and favourites keep a large tab library organised.
• Open a tab file straight from your file manager or share it to Tabshed from another app.

Private by design

• No ads and no account.
• Requests no device permissions.
• One purchase, no subscription.

Supported files

.gp3, .gp4, .gp5, .gpx and .gp tab files, including .gp5 files exported from TuxGuitar.

Please note

Tabshed does not include any songs or tab files. It is a tab player and practice tool for files you already have, such as tabs you wrote yourself or bought from a publisher.
