Tachography is a simple, fast app for downloading and reading data from a digital tachograph and from a driver card. Download straight from your phone, see the records laid out clearly, and keep them as a standard .DDD file — no computer, no internet.
NO EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT NEEDED Downloading from a tachograph needs no download key and no fleet software costing thousands. Your phone and its Bluetooth are enough. For a driver card, an ordinary USB smart-card reader will do — nothing tachograph-specific.
TACHOGRAPH OVER BLUETOOTH • Downloads the vehicle unit's data straight over Bluetooth • Downloads a driver card inserted in the tachograph as well • Progress shows what is being read and how much has arrived • Saves a standard .DDD file to share or archive • Tracks the 90-day tachograph download deadline • Tested on Continental VDO units with firmware V4141
DRIVER CARD • Reads the card through a USB reader (USB-OTG / CCID) or through the tachograph • Shows driver identity, driving licence details and card validity • Breaks activities down by day: driving, work, availability, rest • A colour timeline for each day at a glance • Overview of the vehicles used (plate, odometer, period) • Border crossings and loading/unloading records • Tracks the 28-day card download deadline with a countdown and a warning

Recent changes: Errors during a tachograph download are reported more precisely. A failed connection could previously be reported as a tachograph that does not offer Bluetooth downloading. Buying the subscription unlocks downloading straight away, with no need to restart the app. If the subscription offer cannot be opened, the app now says so instead of quietly closing the window.
