Comments on tagesschau - Nachrichten for Android

★★★★☆ theOnlyWalli · Sep 8, 2026

I like the content, and I've grown to like the story like top news presentation. But the new design feels a little unstructured, e.g. with overlapping content between categories.

★★☆☆☆ J · Jan 19, 2026

Update 12/25 trades clean-cut news for few uncalled-for features and reduced overall quality. Focus on videos, autoplay enabled by default. Slow loading, jittery scrolling. Fewer text articles. Noisy, less intuitive UI. Inconsistent font size, redundant spaces, fewer articles fitting on-screen. Emotional responses and personalization as known from social media (I get the intent, but do we really have to go that trodden path?). Hope they can manage the current mess. I really used to like the app.

★☆☆☆☆ Tino Marschall · Jan 10, 2026

Update ruined the usability. Text unfortunately mostly replaced with video news. Also doesn't run at high refresh rate anymore, scrolling is choppy. Had to delete the app, as I found it frustrating to navigate

★☆☆☆☆ Jo Li · Jan 6, 2026

Former version: a perfect news app, used several times daily. 5 stars. December update: 0 stars. The new version is unusable. There is far too much emphasis on videos and oversized images, and far too little text. The previously condensed and highly informative news overview is gone. It is now impossible to get a quick, comprehensive understanding of the news. A real disappointment. I will stop using the app.
