What Is Tajweed?
If you already know how to read Quran in Arabic, Tajweed is the next step. Tajweed (also written Tajwid) is the set of Quran reading rules that shows you how to read Quran correctly: giving each Arabic letter its right sound and applying rules such as Ghunnah, Madd and Qalqalah. Learning the rules of Tajweed shows you how to recite Quran the way it was revealed, and regular practice and testing is the fastest way to make them stick.
