With the TAP Kiln Control Mobile App, you can continue to remotely monitor, update, and maintain control of your kiln as though you never left.
All that is required is a simple connection to the internet via a USB Wi-Fi Dongle and installation of TAP Kiln Control Mobile app on your mobile device. This will allow you to control and receive real-time data from your kiln no matter where you are.

Love the TAP controller. It makes running and, especially, creating firing schedules. Seeing the schedule as a table makes so much sense. The app is a great way to monitor the kiln and even make adjustments on the fly if needed. The only issue I've had with it is it doesn't always connect consistently. Their customer support is excellent. I had the software crash four days ago, got a response from them in 18 minutes. I sent them the board, they corrected the problem, and I'm back up today.

I can't say enough positive things about this company & their products. I ordered my original kiln with a TAP controller in 2018. Having the TAP was a requirement for my second kiln purchased in 2024. LOVE how easy these are to use & and how SDS stores my firing programs. I've had need of their support & service (only a couple of times), and these folks know & practice incredible customer service! The website has grown over the last 6-7 years & is a great resource. My rating is 100 stars 🌟 !!

I'm not loving it yet. The help section says I can download my firing log, but there is no way to do so. The log of each firing is so small on my phone's screen that it's useless. The diagnostic section just reads invalid date and no information is recorded pertaining to my usage. The app and the kiln are registering the correct date but not on the diagnostic page. According to what bugs they claimed they fixed, I'm not seeing it. I just got this kiln and controller and everything is up-to-date.

Absolutely ridiculous they expect you to be pay $5 a month to use this app when you have to sit near it and supervise the unit per common sense. I'm glad I can make my schedule in it, but charging me a monthly fee to run a program is absolutely bad taste. I won't be buying this model controller for my shops and im glad I halted to test one on a new kiln... Absolutely disgusting business practice
