Seems accurate on a level piste, but doesn't work so well on a slope. Perhaps have an option to place the phone on the sloping floor to set the angle of slope?

This app is very clever and works extremely well to quickly settle the inevitable arguments about which is the winning boule(s). The color of the lines are a bit difficult to see against the gravel on our piste, but this is not a problem as the app clearly identifies, in sequence, the closest boules to the Cochin (1,2, 3 ... etc.). Much easier and quicker and equally, or more, accurate than tape measures etc.

Great app, would definitely recommend. I used the app to help score in some ends of BOCCIE. Unlike in Boules/pétanque, in Boccie the jack ball is the same size as the other balls but is always white (as opposed to red/blue of other balls). App didn't want to recognize the jack despite centering the screen on it. Simple enough to remove the apps choice of jack and select actual jack, but I just wonder if there is anyway to help the app autos elect the correct jack. Many thanks.

Thought it was ok at first. Then I tested the same "end" about 10 times and keep getting different rankings. Yes, I set the boules up to be very similar distances from the coche to stress the app, but you only need to measure when a game is close, right? So if it is inconsistent when it's close, then it's not much use in real life. I will test again in a real game on Saturday, but I am not hopeful 😐
