I only gave it five stars because I want it at the top; it's the same annoying money-grab app. You get a few chapters free, and then you have to pay. Not worth it at all.

Started reading one "book," but I had to quit because the writing just isn't good, and they desperately need an editor. Midway through a story, multiple main character's names were abruptly changed. Uninstalled.

Good story but seems to have no options to earn coins. If you are on a budget other apps will serve better.
★★☆☆☆Katrina Kephart· Sep 23, 2026
Story seemed fascinating. I was hooked until I realized there are no ad options to unlock chapters. I refuse to watch 10 ads or jumps through as many offers just to read 1 short chapter. 2 stars only because I would give 5 for the actual story alone. I deleted the app immediately after I saw the cost per chapter with no ad unlock options. I would be willing to redownload the app if they did single ad unlock after each chapter. Shattered Embers was amazing for the little bit that I read.
