Description
Taskukirjasto is a mobile service for the customers of HelMet libraries. With this app the customer is able to check and renew loans, place holds (feature coming soon), receive personal book recommendations, transfer loans to friends, add interesting material to a personal list of favorites, check the contact information and opening hours of the libraries and send feedback. The app can also be used as a library card.
Taskukirjasto service has been developed in co-operation with Vantaa City Library.

Pretty good app! I just wish the books marked as "on hold" but which I froze would be marked as such (like on the website) instead of just looking like a regular hold. And I wish that books that are waiting for me in a library would have their hold shelf number visible, so I don't have to check my email for it.

This app is really bad. It has several options but almost none of them show something. It always shows "unable to fetch messages" in the front page, and I can't even see the due date of ny loan. The only thing that seems to work is showing the bar code of your library card.

This app is s nightmare. For weeks, I get the notification that the connection to the server couldn't be established and I should try later. It's not possible to reach out to anyone or send feedback, although this option does exist in the app. It was designed to make things easier, unfortunately that failed.
