When the compartment of my new refrigerator seemed colder than normal though the thermostat indicated that the temperature was 38 degrees (even though the milk was freezing), I began researching temperature monitoring systems. Tempi.fi ticked all the right boxes, and I've been using it for two days to monitor the refrigerator's compartment. The minute-by-minute data export CSV file showed a dramatic story of wild temperature swings over 48 hours -- certainly unhealthful for food or, more importantly, insulin storage. I've cross-checked the temping real-time data on my smartphone with a standard thermometer placed in the compartment with 100% agreement between the two. The score? Tempi;fi 100 -- Refrigerator 0.

Worked great to monitor pop up camper temperature. Also used to monitor new battery charging system while camper was closed up, really helped. Used it to check new 12V refrigerator in truck before road trip, perfect! App is simple and stable. Customer s service is great. Had minor issue seeing up, fast help. App needs way to reset data, C.S. says that will be in next update in a few months. No ads in app and no internet needed!

The unit works great, and the app works fine with it. It's easy on the batteries as well, although I don't know how you change the battery in the unit. The updates instantly almost continuously and that's really nice. It's grafs (history, made me a much better cigar keeper and is helping me build an active cigar box. I'll use tec1-12706 chips for heating and cooling and DIY more boxes for temperature and humidity control.

Gosh this product showed promise When I first got it, I emailed Jesse and received a response in less than a day with so much enthusiasm. Talk of a gateway, etc. Now it seems an abandoned project. I emailed asking about open sourcing the app. It's been almost two weeks of no reply. The battery level indicator is useless. After almost 3 years, one day it is full of green, next day no readings. New batt, and all fine. Main display shows WAY less precision than graph. :-(Needs work.

It works. But it shouldn't be advertised to monitor room temperatures. What's the point in sending a notification that it has exceeded my temperature limit if I have to be in the room to get the notification.
