Tempo: Block Reels & Shorts

Because “one more Reel” is never just one more.

Tempo helps you spend less time scrolling by putting a pause between you and the next Reel. Set timers and daily limits for supported feeds, including Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, and let Tempo interrupt the scroll when your time is up.

Choose which apps to protect, add your own reminders, and decide when to take a break. Optional feed covers help you pause before you start scrolling, too.

SET YOUR OWN LIMITS
Choose when reminders appear, set daily scrolling limits, and adjust your snooze time. Configure each supported app separately so your limits fit your habits.

INTERRUPT THE ENDLESS SCROLL
Tempo recognises YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, Stories and Home feeds, and supported TikTok feeds. Reminders and optional covers interrupt access to the feed, giving you a moment to choose whether to continue or leave.

MAKE YOUR TIME VISIBLE
See how much time you spend scrolling, review your daily activity, and spot patterns in your habits. Optional Android Usage access lets you compare scrolling time with your total time in supported apps.

MAKE REMINDERS PERSONAL
Write messages that mean something to you. Remind yourself what you wanted to do, what matters today, or why you opened your phone.

FREE TO USE. NO SUBSCRIPTION.
Tempo is free to use, with no subscription or in-app purchases. Ads help support development, and optional rewarded ads let you extend your scrolling time. Your timers, reminders and basic protection controls are available for free.

STAY IN CONTROL
Pause protection, change your limits or turn off individual apps whenever you need to. Basic protection controls do not require completing an ad.

YOUR SCROLLING HISTORY STAYS LOCAL
No Tempo account is required. Your settings, reminders and scrolling history stay on your phone. Core protection works offline.

Google’s advertising and consent services process device, network and interaction data separately, as explained in our privacy policy. You can review available advertising choices in Tempo’s privacy settings.

ACCESSIBILITY PERMISSION
Tempo uses Android’s AccessibilityService API, with your permission, to recognise supported feeds, measure scrolling time and display reminders or covers. It reads interface information such as control labels, text, positions and scroll events. When you choose Leave, it can scroll to the top, go back or return to Home.

Tempo does not record your screen, save raw screen content or send accessibility content to advertisers. You can revoke accessibility access at any time in Android Settings.

Less scrolling. More time for everything else.

App interface languages: English and Spanish.
