Description
The Tengwar Transcriber for Android™ automatically creates Tengwar script for the Roman letter characters entered. Android 2.1 and above. Share to G+, email, and SD card via long press on transcription!
Currently, there are options for transcription modes - English (default), Black Speech, Quenya, Sindarin, and Sindarin Classical - as well as choices for fonts - Johan Winge's Tengwar Annatar, Dan Smith's Tengwar Sindarin and Tengwar Quenya, Mans Björkman's Tengwar Parmaite.
The Tengwar Transcriber also allows viewing of the transcribed text in ASCII.
Please note: This is not a translator and assumes that you have proper Quenya or Sindarin words to use.

An excellent tool with some caveats The angcerthas of daemon (dwarves runes) are not represented. Doubled consonant letters can't be represented with an extra horizontal stroke. Consecutive vowels always use a carrier stroke. Often vowel carrier strokes are used when not needed. Double height vertical strokes for compressed and combined letters are not supported. Third party fonts can't be added. Rules tables can't be added or edited. But otherwise an awesome app. Best of its kind so far!

This app does exactly what it says, it will transcribe any text into the tengwar script, and uses most of the elvish modes. I love this app, and it actually is very accurate, despite some problems with the silent e, and a few other things, especially the Mandarin mode k. So it isn't 100% accurate. I am learning Mandarin, so I know for sure this is way better than any other android app for elvish. "Melin sen app, a ha teitha vae."

Excellent Very convenient to use. I must suggest correction that in Quenya mode, all vowels following consonants are supposed to be represented with diacritics (theta) above the consonant, instead of full tengwar which are used for vowels preceding consonants or standalone. Just like Mandarin, English and Black Speech, but reversed.

This app writes "tulë" in Quenya mode with tin co alone, then carrier with 'u', then lambe alone, then carrier with 'e'. That is most definitely not Quenya mode. Quenya is written with vowel diacritics over the preceding tengwar.
