Tenra - Film Camera & Darkroom

Put a film camera in your pocket.

Load a roll and leave the photos unseen until development.

Tenra brings the rhythm of film photography to your phone: load film, shoot, develop, then open the roll. Each roll holds up to 36 frames. Finish it or develop early.

While shooting, focus on the light. Save the colors, grain, and final look for development.

Waiting is part of what makes film photography special.

【Film stocks with distinct character】

From warm everyday tones and fresh greens to soft black-and-white, cinematic colors, and crisp slide film.

Each film is tuned for color, contrast, and grain using real film photography as reference.

Free films:
・Kodak Gold 200
・Ilford HP5 Plus
・Fujifilm C200
・Kentmere PAN 400
・Agfa Vista 400

Tenra Pro films:
・Kodak Portra 400
・Kodak Ektar 100
・CineStill 800T
・Kodak Double-X
・Fujicolor 100
・Kodak Ektachrome E100

Browse sample photos before loading. Pro films can also be previewed with samples and imported photos for free; Tenra Pro is required only when you develop the roll.

【Shoot, or bring old photos into the darkroom】

Tap to focus, use flash, and switch between front and rear cameras.

The viewfinder does not apply the film look in real time. Results stay hidden until development is complete.

You can also import photos, preview different film stocks, and develop them together as a roll.

【Double exposure, film borders, and date imprint】

Raise the double-exposure lever to layer the next exposure over the previous frame, combining two moments in one photo.

Choose 3:4, 3:2, 1:1, or 16:9 when loading film, with optional sprocket-hole borders.

Enable date imprint to add the shooting date in orange LCD-style yyyy-MM-dd text. It rotates with photo orientation and avoids the sprocket holes.

Date imprint applies only to photos taken in Tenra, not imported photos.

【Develop at your own pace】

Choose when your roll will be ready:

・Instant
・In 1 hour
・Tomorrow at 9:00 AM

Want to change film before finishing a roll? Rewind it, put it back on the shelf, and reload it later to continue shooting.

Kodak Ektachrome E100 supports standard development or cross processing for stronger color shifts and contrast. The choice applies to the entire roll and cannot be changed once development starts.

Developing E100 requires Tenra Pro.

【Keep every roll】

Developed photos are stored in your film library.

Search by roll name, film stock, or cross-processing label. Share a photo, save an entire roll, or export a contact sheet.

A trip, a gathering, or an ordinary afternoon — every roll keeps the moments when you pressed the shutter.

【Your photos stay yours】

No Tenra account is required.

Photos stay on your device and are not uploaded to Tenra servers. Important photos can also be saved to your system photo library.

Recent changes:
“Take a closer look before loading a roll.” —the darkroom owner

Larger film thumbnails, search and color/B&W filters make choosing easier. A fourth sample photo adds a green scene, and date-back digits are smaller. Low-storage developing errors now explain what to do; originals stay intact. Retry temporary loading failures in samples, Library and Darkroom.
