TesAA for Android Auto™

★★★★★ I use this when making deliveries. One thing I did to make it more reliable was to go to Wi-Fi settings in your Tesla and make sure it stays connected even in drive. Reconnecting when I reenter the car takes a minute because the Tesla doesn't reconnect to the Wi-Fi hotspot automatically. Also, the battery drain on the phone is pretty high. The built-in wireless charger on my model 3 couldn't keep up. I have to use a wired USB-C cable to keep my phone charged when doing deliveries for a few hours.

★★★★★ Android Auto for Tesla and it works! Even more straight forward than the hardware devices that do a similar thing. Sure, it is not as fluid as a native solution but very usable. Bear in mind that it is not advised to use this app and charge wirelessly at the same time, because the device might overheat. But that is of no fault of the developer and just the consequence of having the Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless charging at the same time. Plug in a cable, and you're good to go.

★★☆☆☆ Won't work for 2016 Model x with MCU 1. I was able to get it to work on another browser on the tablets. I'm sure it will work on other newer Tesla Info center. BUT my older 2016 model x MCU 1 no matter what I do it won't trigger the Android Auto process. It will show it's connected on your Phone but no matter what you do, the browser on your Tesla won't trigger the process to connect, I spend 4 hours. I thought it was me, but I tried it on other devices, and it worked awesome, fast too.

★★☆☆☆ TesAA/Android auto is no longer working with new FSD beta builds, 2023.12.10 onwards. They are now running Chrome v109. Android auto tries to start but fails and repeats. Developers, please fix TesAA.
