TeslaMirror mirrors your Android device to your Tesla vehicle.
Setup 1) Update your Tesla’s infotainment system to the latest version. 2) Ensure your Tesla is PARKED (0 mph / 0 kph). 3) Connect your Tesla to your Android phone’s mobile hotspot. Tesla MCU2/3 hardware is required. MCU2/3 is available on Model 3, Model Y, Model X (built after March 2018), Model S (built after March 2018), or vehicles upgraded from MCU1 to MCU2/3. • A 5 GHz hotspot is recommended. Tesla vehicles do not support Wi-Fi 6 access points (APs). 4) Open TeslaMirror and make sure the “Tesla Proxy” switch is ON. 5) Tap “Start” to begin screen broadcasting. 6) In the Tesla browser, open https://TSL6.com for any mirroring mode (MJPEG, H.264, or H.265). Features
• H.264/H.265 recommendations - MCU3 (AMD Ryzen): H.265 mode with 720p@60 fps recommended, as 1080p requires higher bandwidth. MCU3 supports up to 1080p@60fps (H.264 and H.265). - For Tesla in-car system software version 2025.38.11 and later, H.265 mirroring is now recommended for both MCU2 and MCU3. - MCU2 (Intel Atom): H.264 mode with 540p@30fps recommended only for very old Tesla in-car system.
• Lossless audio (Android 10+) - Up to Hi-Res quality (96 kHz, stereo, 32-bit), typically much better than Bluetooth or low-bitrate audio.
• Remote Control – Control your phone with the Tesla touchscreen or a mouse.

Why does TeslaMirror require VpnService (Android)? Tesla browsers block standard private-LAN IP ranges (e.g., 192.168.*.*). TeslaMirror uses a virtual IP and a VPN tunnel to bypass this limitation. The VPN tunnel does not connect to any public server: one endpoint is your Android device, and the other is your Tesla.
Privacy A web server runs locally on your Android device at the virtual IP 100.99.9.9. It is not accessible from the public Internet. Only your Tesla and your phone communicate—there are no intermediary servers. TeslaMirror and its VPN component do not collect any user data or logs, and the app does not redirect or manipulate traffic from other apps. The VPN is the core functionality of TeslaMirror application. Or else Tesla car's browser cannot connect to the web browser on the Android device.
Accessibility (for Remote Control) The “Remote Control” feature requires Accessibility permission. Without it, Remote Control is unavailable. TeslaMirror uses the AccessibilityService API (e.g., dispatchGesture and performGlobalAction) solely to enable remote touch and system actions. No data is collected through AccessibilityService. This helps you control the device more easily if reaching the screen or physical buttons is difficult.
Recent changes: - New Single-app Casting: virtual display now works with the Tesla browser and supports playback even when the phone is locked or its screen is off. Cast an app on a separate virtual display while continuing to use your phone’s main screen. Supports H.264 and H.265. Requires Android 11 or later and wireless debugging pairing. - Improved display in 2026.26 Tesla browser.

It's great it works. I do have to bring the browser up & put in the link again after reversing but for the most part the app does what it says it should. The only cons for me are I wish it showed up bigger on Tesla dashboard & having to use my hotspot data is very draining on my battery. Although I leave it on the wireless charger, it still loses power very slowly because of the Tesla Mirror app running. Oh yeah I noticed it lags once. I'm using it for the Lyft driver app. Good luck & thanks TM

I think most people that give this app a bad review have little to no technical aptitude because this app does exactly as advertised. 10/10 works great, definitely worth the 5 bucks if you want to play videos on your tesla screen while driving.

Keeps crashing in WebRTC mode if screen orientation is changed. You start casting, turn your phone 90 degrees and casting stops. You have to go back to tesla mirror to start the casting, and you get a casting warning that has always horizontal orientation, so you tap on OK, and it crashes directly because the phone goes automatically back to landscape orientation. Can this be fixed? Android 14. Xiaomi 13 pro. Latest updates are installed.

I highly recommend this app, it mirrors your phone to Tesla Web Browser easily... When there is heavy traffic, playing Hearthstone on the Tesla Screen is precious :)

Waste of money...not worth it! It can mirror the screen but only during the park mode :(and then it's not that as if you can use the touch command on your Tesla screen to control the apps!! You still have to use the phone screen to control!! Defeats the whole purpose of having a screen mirror...waste of money...don't buy it!!

Bought so passenger could use tesla screen to watch world cup match. The same annoying video-block as tesla browser. Pretty useless product.

I have model 3 2020. I installed the app and enter the web address on the tesla browser, and it doesn't work. It says "your connection to this site is not secure. How can I fix this? Thanks.

Cannot function long term. Especially when driving. Browser force closes after a short term. Forced to constantly reopen and reconnect. Not worth it. Useless without the function to drive and use it. Was denied a refund even though this app is market as able to do what it says while in drive. False advertising. Buyer beware. Thus, may have worked, but it seems tesla has patched the ability to do this.
