Text Browser version 2.2.0 A by Frog 99 is one of the best Web clients for receiving only text, without images or sounds, which is important in slow or limited connections. It has book marks, history, share, many text encodings (among them IBM 437 and US ASCII, common in DOS systems), and many other features. Its settings can be adjusted for line wrap, text size, text selection, external fonts, any colour for text, hyper-link or background, scrolling by volume keys (besides touch-sensitive screen), and other adjustments to suit personal needs or preferences. This Text Browser is not so customisable as Lynx, and it does not access other protocols either (such as Gopher, WAIS, Finger, NNTP, Telnet...), but for the HTTP protocol of the World Wide Web and its HTML or XML languages, it is very efficient. The only problem is its lack of documentation. This excellent executable should deserve five stars, but because the programming team has not even bothered to include minimal explanations, it loses one star. It will be necessary to devote hours or days to explore the many options that this text-only Web user agent has, but the results will certainly pay high.

Only 4.3 Stars? Are you kidding? This deserves six stars as long as you know why it was made. I'm not trying to put anyone else's reviews down, but this is text only, and it was written for people like myself who use TracFone as their provider. By the way, TracFone is now number three service provider behind Verizon and AT&T that's how popular it is. You only use this app if you don't like to watch Graphics, or if you want to use as little data as possible. In case you don't know it, most browsers use lots and lots of data ! I ran my own tests. I went to an obituary page on a newspaper here in town? I used naked browser and Chrome to compare it to text only browser. Naked browser used 1.6 megabytes of data and Chrome used 2.4 megabytes of data to view just one single page. Imagine reading a 30-page article each day? However, (text only browser) used 0.1 megabytes of data. There is simply no other browser in the entire Play Store that can even come close to these qualities. By the way, there's an option so you can turn on graphics inside of text only browser, however I have never used it. If you like seeing photos and graphics and watching YouTube videos in your browser, this is simply not for you. There's no need to give it one star because it didn't do what you wanted it to do, especially when all you have to do is read the directions

No ads. Defeats the purpose. Ads are very important to support content developers, web developers, copy writers and millions of people who work in the media industry. But all you people only want to rob us of our living. Ads are part of life. No ads. No free content. So all you misers out these, start paying. Worst browser ever.
