The Big Chair

The Big Chair is an in-depth football club management simulation that lets you experience the game from the boardroom rather than the touchline. From your coaching staff and transfer policy to club finances and internal politics, the final decision is yours.
RUN YOUR CLUB
Appoint your head coach, build a strong working relationship and stand by the promises you make. Negotiate transfers, renew player contracts, arrange loan deals and follow the development of young talents emerging from your academy.
Keep the wage budget under control, negotiate sponsorship deals, set ticket prices and invest in club facilities. Ambitious goals require serious resources. When necessary, use your connections to raise funds for the club—or put in your own money.
DEFEND YOUR SEAT
Supporters, club members, the board, the press, political figures and the federation all judge the club’s direction differently. A decision that wins over one group may cost you the support of another. Manage crises, maintain the balance of power within the club and answer for your decisions when election day arrives.
If your support collapses, an extraordinary general assembly may be called. Losing an election does not always end your story: move into opposition as the former chairman, collect signatures, demand a new assembly and fight to reclaim your seat.
A LIVING FOOTBALL WORLD
Rival clubs never stand still. They make transfers, rebuild their squads, struggle with financial problems or gain strength through new investors. While you pursue your own plans, the balance of power across the league continues to shift.
Follow matches from the directors’ box. Watch your team’s performance on the pitch, experience the decisive moments and see how every result affects the club community.
THE ROAD TO THE TOP
Compete through the full league pyramid, from the lower divisions to the top flight. Chase upsets in the domestic cup, make your club known in European competition and experience different journeys from the lower leagues to the summit.
YOUR FOOTBALL WORLD
Edit club and competition names however you like. Recreate familiar rivalries or play in a football universe entirely of your own.
A new story every week.
A new consequence with every decision.
A new reckoning every season.
