Description
Life in Port Terris is tough. There’s never quite enough to eat, nor quite enough work, and your friends have a nasty habit of being snatched up by the Constables and their bots.

This would have been more highly rated were it not for the many bugs I ran into on just my first run. The story and choices themselves are solid, and the ethical quandaries this game encompassed were compelling, but many things worked to rip me out of immersion. 1) The person I romanced ended up having romantic dialogue and scenes with another NPC, and MC doesn't have a choice to even comment on them, telling me that this is a plot I should only see if I never romanced this character. But I did, and it was shocking when I came across these clearly antithetical scenes. 2) The section of the Stats for how others view you seems to be very inaccurately coded - two characters for me never changed in their view of me despite storylines and interactions definitely indicating otherwise, and one important character doesn't even show up on the list. Also, between two early friend NPCs your MC can meet, choosing to spend the day with one friend and gaining their friendship can be nullified by choosing to spend the following day with the other friend, despite these events being totally independent of each other. Not sure if bug or feature. 3) There were countless typos and bugged variable inputs. I would see sentences like "Come with me, Miss girl," or "You're glad None wasn't here to hear that" a little too often. Additionally, I would also read paragraphs where formatting was wonky (everything italicized except one paragraph), or paragraphs that read as if certain sentences missing. I would suggest readers wait for patches to roll out before buying, unless storytelling bugs don't bother them. I would happily rank it 5/5 if these immersion-breaking traits were gone, because the story really is great. It suffers some pacing issues by the end, but it is a definite recommend for steampunk lovers.

One of the best of hosted games in terms of story, the ending gave a logical ending to the build up, sadly something that most hosted games are unable to do. The options/consequences are reasonable however the character growth for the side characters (companions) is disappointing however all the characters stay in their character. Almost too well for a good reason (in hindsight its fine but whilst reading it the first time was quite glaring)
★★☆☆☆
Good ideas and we can clearly see some effort was put into it, but it feels like reading rough drafts. Lots of things don't add up. It feels like whole chunks of the story are missing but then, the game references them anyway, and it's hard to follow. Also, a few bugs and typos. This badly needs an editor!
★★☆☆☆
Washable to play to what seems like was near the end, but then there was an error, and it told me to email somebody. Yeah, how about instead you don't release the game until it works?
