Drs. Paul and Virginia Friesen, founders of Home Improvement Ministries, have a passion for encouraging couples to find the joy and satisfaction that God designed for couples to experience in marriage. They each have a Doctorate in Marriage and Family Therapy from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Paul and Virginia have three adult daughters and two sons-in-law, and are very proud grandparents. In addition to their ministry of speaking, writing, and counseling, they have ongoing relationships with various professional sports teams. They are authors of ten books and four DVD series focusing on marriage relationships and parenting.

I really enjoy this app. It uses your names and really makes you think and reflect on the happy, better times in your marriage. It helps you to remember why you feel in love and helps to bring those emotions and memories back. Yes, the texting is glitchy. Sometimes your message doesn't go through so I've just started sending him the texts through regular messaging. I wouldn't get rid of the app just bc of that. I don't know why people are upset about entering your spouses name and number. It only uses your spouse's name to personalize the daily reflection and it only uses their email if you choose to send a text or not. You don't ever have to. It only gives you suggestions of things to text your spouse that help bring the communication back to those who need that. If you want to use this app alone without your spouse you can. It will still help!

I really like the concept of this app, and think that it's a great idea. It's good being able to personalise it with names, but it's only suited for heterosexual couples. If you tell the app you're male, automatically calls your spouse she/her. I think more people would use and enjoy this app if it wasn't gender-specific.

If I'm the one to call or text my husband, making entry mandatory to access the content of the app is preposterous to begin with. Then telling me to "correct" the perfectly correct phone number (I assume because it is not a US phone number) and not accepting what I entered is just sloppy programming. Unusable.
