★★★★★ Love the objective news coverage. App is marginal. Uninstalled the app after a couple of years because I don't want to watch or read the news for the next four years. Associated Press is free, though I like the NYT far better than any other source. Just wish I could afford that quality. Hey, how about a service like 100 articles a year, or 10 a month. Something piecemeal yet profitable. For my limited interests and usage, it just wasn't a good price point anymore.

★★★★★ An interesting article about the sauna craze that's happening in the upper Midwest, and provides some historical details about the development of sauna tradition in the U.S. Having experienced my first sauna at age six with my Finnish grandmother and more recently with Finnish cousins, I think it's best to go with someone familiar with sauna culture. Kiitos (thanks) NYT for publishing this!

★★★★★ Mr. Baker's obituary tribute to former Pres. Carter is an excellent account of the critical events of Carter's administration and life. The former president faced many challenges after which detractors could not propose any more salient resolutions or alternatives than those available to Mr. Carter at the time under the circumstances. Pres. Carter and his administration have been underappreciated, misunderstood, and unfairly denigrated.

★★★★★ Although the audio section is sometimes a bit glitchy and I wish that there were a NY Times Audio app for Android devices, I'm very pleased with the function and layout of the app.

★★☆☆☆ Content wise, NYT is awesome. But this app...so frustrating. After reading an article, most of the time when you go back to the feed, it refreshes (taking 30–60 seconds at least), taking you back to the top of the feed, and you have to scroll back down to the last article read and pick up from there. NEWS DOES NOT CHANGE EVERY 5 MINUTES. If it does, I'll catch up, I promise! Let people control their own experience. Let us opt out of the constant refresh, and go back to the last article we read.

★★☆☆☆ For a few months, the app is buggy. Articles load but scrolling stops halfway, showing only emptiness. I need to kill the app and restart to work, but problem reappears. Every now and then, scrolling will stop mid-article, full of text, yet app will be unresponsive.
