Description
The Next Trail was developed for Snowmobilers and Off-Road enthusiasts by an avid snowmobiler. The app allows you to see where you are on Outdoor Trails. View trails and routes, ride areas, points of interest and local events. Currently we have robust data for Snowmobiling and ATV/UTV trails – with new data being added regularly.
Get current, relevant information! The Next Trail is working with many local clubs. The clubs have the ability to post new events, update trail closures/openings and provide on screen information on local businesses and amenities.
The Next Trail uses several sources for trail data. 1) Map Images are digital versions of the paper maps commonly used and provided by Snowmobile clubs. 2) Trails provide more detailed trail data. This data is provided by States, counties and/or clubs. Trails use GIS (Geographic Information System) which is much more precise than Map Images. 3) Record your own trails which can be backed up to cloud storage (included in the subscription) thus preserving your trails even if a phone is lost/replaced.
All the maps/trails are downloadable and should be downloaded when internet service is available. While riding, no internet is needed, the app will use your phones GPS to precisely display your position.

Great app for ATV and snowmobile trails! Just download and plan your route. Really enjoy the paper map overlay as well.

This app is my go-to trail app. Pick my starting point, pick my end point. And it creates a route just like google Maps. Used it to ride my sxs from Janesville, WI, all the way to LaFarge, WI, and back. All legal routes. I use it everywhere I go. Especially places I have not been before. I like I can save my routes for later use. I plan my weekend rides with it, where I'm starting, where I'm stopping along the way, and all the way back. Hasn't let me down yet.

Probably one of the worst trail map apps I have used in recent history The constant drawing of tiles trying to always download information when you're in the middle of nowhere makes the app basically useless for what it's intended for. The developers' response to the issues was basically to attack me saying I didn't know what I was talking about even though I've been an app developer for Android since it was launched.

No navigation. It's a bar hopping app. But only the bars in the system. It doesn't really matter what business it is. There is an option to click on the map, IT DOES NOT WORK. It doesn't do anything. Also closed trails, that doesn't work either. If you need an app that will tell you if you are on a legal route, it kinda does do that. That's about all it does. Gosh if someone were to do a video about how to get this garbage to work... I know that's crazy thinking.

No sound, it would be nice to know when it has you turning on roads. It makes the drive way longer than it should be when I have to stop constantly just to try and figure out the next few turns. It also tried taking me onto private land. My hour and a half drive ended up taking me almost 3 hours. It was also really confusing on how to set everything up to even get directions to begin with.
