The Quest - Celtic Doom is an expansion to The Quest, a beautifully hand-drawn open world role playing game with old school grid-based movement and turn based combat.
After enabling the expansion, you can explore new areas and adventures. However, if you don't have The Quest, you can also play the expansion as a standalone game.
You feel the wrap of magic around you, a confused mix of love and hate summoning you to face Merlin once more. Your feelings are mixed, dealing with Merlin always means trouble but the choice is not yours. The magic mist absorbs you transporting you back to his Celtic world.
To access the new areas (not applicable if you are playing the expansion standalone), go to Mithria harbor and talk to captain Hanty, then select "Celtic Doom" as your travel destination. It's recommended you reach at least level 65 before taking on the challenges posed by this expansion.

I'm destined to buy them all eventually. Played 5hrs with a lvl 15 character and now lvl 26. It seemed a tad too easy for the lvl 65 requirements. I didn't find any enchantable rings yet although plenty of other enchantment items esp crossbows, not many new spells found either. No exp markers no losing exp points. This seems to be one of the older 2018 Quest expansion packs, and I have mostly the latter written ones with exp statues and loss of experience. Ragnar's Revenge released in 2023 next.

It's okay, but Level 45 Celtic Queen (loaded gear) had better introductory free to take off the shelf and the ground enchant capable gear over both higher level Celtic Doom (not much gear) and Careworn Castle (tad more gear). Only concerns me having completed the last Level 80 Curse of Lin more expansion pack and going backwards looking at packs I hadn't purchased yet then going back and buying them all. Very little amount of freebies here in Celtic Doom starting area.

Fantastic expansion. Just a heads-up the silver beater in credne's forge is broken (unable to exchange silver for gear)
