At one point, the app began to crash amd not open consistently. After some exchanges with threema support, I was asked to enroll in an internal beta to send logs of how the app would function. The issues were resolved and threema support was very responsive and helpful. This is a good example of how paying for something has benefits. I would highly recommend this app to anyone, not just for privacy and security, but for their support as well.

Works really well. However, with the new design there is bug: when you open unread messages, it keeps showing the red unread messages badge on the chat screen even after you've read the messages. You have to leave the chat and open it again for the badge to disappear. Hope it's fixed soon.

Bought this app because Signal is stopping their SMS service today. Just read that Threema doesn't support SMS. Guess I'll have to find another Signal replacement. Threema needs to state that they don't support SMS messages to let people know this. DON'T BUY THIS APP BECAUSE YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE A REFUND!!! Seems like they are scamming people who are looking for a Signal replacement. I guess I'll have to call my CC company and try to reverse the charges for it.

Android v13, recently crashed due to an existing bug, and deleted everything. I don't have a backup anymore because 'Restore failed. No backup found on the server'. In the last couple of weeks Android Device Care has reported frequent crashes in Threema.
