Thumbly: Thumbnail Maker

Make a YouTube thumbnail in minutes, right on your phone. Pick a photo, type big text, add a sticker, save. That is the whole app.

Thumbly is a thumbnail maker built for small creators who do not have a PC or a designer. No templates to download, no subscription, no locked stickers. Everything works offline.

WHY CREATORS LIKE IT
• Easy to use: three taps from photo to finished thumbnail
• Big, readable text with outline and shadow presets that pop on a phone screen
• Cut out yourself from a photo with one tap (on-device, nothing is uploaded)
• Your work is auto-saved. An ad never interrupts editing, and a draft is never lost
• No subscription. No watermark. No locked features

WHAT YOU CAN MAKE
• YouTube thumbnail (1280×720, 16:9)
• YouTube Shorts and vertical video cover (9:16)
• YouTube channel banner / channel art (2560×1440)
• Square cover for Instagram, TikTok, podcasts (1:1)

TOOLS
• Photo: use any picture as the background, or a solid color
• Text: 6 one-tap styles, adjustable size, outline, shadow and color, multi-line
• Cutout: automatic background removal for people and objects, added as a layer
• Stickers: fire, arrows, emoji reactions and more
• Layers: reorder, lock the look, undo and redo
• Export as JPG or PNG to your gallery, then share straight to YouTube Studio or any app

MADE FOR PHONES
The editor stays in portrait, so you can edit a landscape thumbnail while holding your phone upright. Light and dark theme. A home screen widget shows your latest thumbnail and a one-tap "new" button.

PRIVACY
Thumbly has no account and no server. Photos, drafts and finished thumbnails stay on your device. The app shows ads to stay free, and never shows an ad in the middle of your editing.

Thumbly is an independent thumbnail maker and is not affiliated with or endorsed by YouTube or Google. YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.
