Time Machine: AI Time Travel

Point your camera at anything, set the dial, and travel back in time.

Time Machine is an AI time travel app that rebuilds your photo in any era of history. Your street becomes a Roman road. Your living room becomes a Victorian parlour. Your local park becomes a Cretaceous forest with dinosaurs walking through it. And the people in your photo come along for the ride, dressed for the year you land in.

SEE ANY PLACE IN THE PAST
Take a photo or pick one from your gallery, choose a destination and pull the lever. A few moments later you arrive: the same scene, the same viewpoint, reimagined in a different time. Every era is rebuilt with its own architecture, clothing, vehicles, light and photographic style, from early daguerreotypes to faded 1970s colour film.

FROM 1850 ALL THE WAY BACK TO THE DINOSAURS
• Photographic years: every year from 1850 to the 2010s – gaslight streets, the Belle Époque, the Roaring Twenties, post-war, the sixties, the eighties, the nineties and more
• History: the Bronze Age, the ancient world, classical antiquity, ancient Rome, the early and high Middle Ages, the age of exploration, the 17th and 18th centuries and the dawn of industry
• Prehistory: the dawn of farming, the Ice Age with mammoths, the early Pleistocene, the Late Cretaceous, the Late Jurassic and the Triassic

BEFORE AND AFTER, SIDE BY SIDE
Drag the slider to compare today with the past and see exactly what changed. Save the historical photo to your gallery or share your trip with friends.

FILM THE TIME JUMP
Turn any trip into an 8-second video that travels from your photo into the past, complete with sound. Perfect for sharing.

YOUR TRIPS ON A DEPARTURES BOARD
Every journey lands on your own split-flap departures board, so you can revisit your trips, compare them again or film them later. You don't need to keep the app open: we'll send you a notification when your trip has arrived.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Take a photo or choose one from your album
2. Turn the dial to any year or era
3. Depart and watch the time jump
4. Explore your photo in the past, then save, share or film it

TICKETS
Your first 3 trips are free – no account or sign-up needed. A trip to any era costs 1 ticket, and a time-jump film costs 8. Extra tickets come in one-time packs, with no subscription.

GOOD TO KNOW
Images and videos are AI reconstructions for fun and inspiration – they are not historical records. Your photos are only used to create your trips, and your trips are stored on your phone. You can report any result from inside the app.

Great for history fans, travellers, photographers, families looking at old neighbourhoods, and anyone who has ever wondered what was here before.
