Timmy - Audiobook Player

★★☆☆☆ You can't listen to your downloaded/imported audiobooks without an active Internet connection, presumably so the app can inject ad interruptions while listening. I understand you may feel the need to monetize a free app (even though you offer a paid alternative to upgrade to), but this is not the way to do it. There are other small issues like navigation and imports that I assume will improve, but not being able to listen to your own files while offline is a non-starter.

★★☆☆☆ It read all my audio files and ignored the input of the audiobooks directory. Made it unusable.

★★☆☆☆ The first thing the app should do when opened for the first time is prompt the user for the audiobook directory (see: Voice app). What Timmy does is immediately start scanning all devices for any media, and then finds and starts indexing my music folder (with a ton of "not found" errors). At that point there's no way to stop the indexing other than force stopping the app. Even after I did manage to set the audiobooks library and press res can, Timmy didn't scan it or found nothing. It looks promising, but it's just not working (Android 9).
