★★★★★ This app is great, if you have root access. The only downside is the UI that you need a YouTube tutorial for, note that this doesn't work without root.

★★☆☆☆ The obvious use case for this app is tablet games on an Android TV box - but it's useless for that, because it relies on opening the overlay UI from a notification which is impossible on Android TV. If you want to be sure of Android TV games supporting gamepads, your best bet is a cloud gaming service (such as Blacknut or Stadia), or only ever install games that you have previously played with a gamepad on an Amazon Fire TV stick (preferably by sideloading the APK from your Fire TV).

★★☆☆☆ Wth it says no root, then you open the app and it says to blah blah you must have a rooted phone

★★☆☆☆ Do not use this app. This app requires root access and (if you didn't know) enabling root access is very dangerous. If you want a gamepad mapper just use the app "Octopus - Gamepad, Mouse, Keyboard Keymapper", it works just fine without root. There is no reason for an app like this to require root access.
