Description
Embark on an adventure - just a small one - an adventure in the amazing realm of text! Go North, South, Up, Down, into a cupboard, out of a cupboard, the possibilities are endless in your imagination. In this game however the possibilities are finite and are likely to be quickly exhausted but not before you've had a tiny adventure all of your own.
This game harks back to the original text adventures of the authors youth - Colossal Cave, Sphinx Adventure, Zork. Experience a tiny subset of the majesty of this genre without the painful need to actually type text on a mobile device.

Great fun. Not nearly as it could have been, more than one mini quest to complete, then one or two rounding-off touches to find after the game is officially over. Satisfying story, never (that I came across) misleading or making me feel let down, intelligently written. The humor is right up my street :) most of it subtle with, here n there, Pythonesque moments. Pleasant, smooth interface. Hints and walkthrough are "just enough". I love text adventures but find them hard to enjoy when thumb typing; this system gets round that. No suggestions for improvement! (I could suggest adding the ability to reorder items in the inventory but on the other hand that could distract.) I'd like to get to know the shopkeeper better, hope we see more of him in TTA2. Thanks, Julian - please keep producing these!

Am I missing something, or is there no menu button in the app? I recall seeing info about maps and hints when I started the game, but there is no way to access them? I can't even find a way to restart or change any settings. Samsung S6 Edge, where the old phone based menu button now brings up frequently used apps instead.

I loved the original adventure games and this one seems to have a lot of potential, but I can't get to the menu. I'm on a Samsung tablet.

I really like text adventure games. But not this one. Too much of "your standing here where are you going next" type stuff. Probably just not the game style for me. Still worth a try if you like games like that.
