TipsGlobal: Tipping by Country

TipsGlobal is an offline travel companion for one of the most confusing parts of any trip: knowing what to tip, and how much things really cost in your own money.

For 36 of the most-visited countries it explains, in plain language, how tipping actually works there. Each country has a short "how tipping works here" guide covering the things that trip travellers up, such as service charges, cover charges, rounding culture, and the places where you should not tip at all, alongside the customary amounts for restaurants, taxis, hotel porters and housekeeping, bars, cafes, and spas.

A built-in bill splitter goes well beyond a single percentage screen. It preselects each country's customary restaurant tip, splits the bill between any number of people, shows each person's share of the bill and the tip separately, and can round the total up to a tidy figure. Every amount appears in both the local currency and your own home currency, converted with an exchange-rate table you set and edit yourself on your device.

Search any country by name or browse by region, and TipsGlobal remembers the last country you looked at so it is one tap away next time.

Everything works fully offline. There is no account, no tracking, and no internet connection of any kind. Tipping customs are guidance rather than rules and vary by venue and region, so always check the bill for a service charge before you add a tip.
