Comments on Tipsy: Live Your Story for Android

★★★★☆ Catherine Alexandri · Oct 6, 2026

Tipsy has great creators that do rivet stories and great characters, but the balance between price and what you are getting is off. After long conversations the character's memory starts to fail unless you get a subscription, and you pin those memories. Great if you don't mind pay for play

★★★★☆ Cherokee Madden · Sep 30, 2026

I do love this app, I just don't like how I have to earn when I don't want to pay. I do have an idea that if you get tired of a character and delete the chat, I feel like you should get the gems back from it. Other than those two concerns, I really do love the chat style, the characters, daily check in.

★☆☆☆☆ Donna Gorton · Sep 23, 2026

I gave this one star because you pay for the subscription and yet you still have to buy gems in order to interact with your character that you choose. That just seems wrong on so many levels and if you don't, you only get a few messages before you reach the daily limit. Most people want something that they can have an actual conversation with. The characters aren't bad but when you have to go through all that just to interact with them, and you're not even offered to watch an ad to continue

★★☆☆☆ Ariel Martin · Oct 11, 2026

STOP WITH USING GEMS!!! I have only had this app downloaded for 3 days, and I'm on the fence with it. EVEN if you pay the highest tier you STILL have to use GEMs to talk and get responses. Which I think is ridiculous and wild. I don't want to pay for access to only have partial access. I love the format and the response and how it plays, but I hate having to spend more and more money when there are other AI bots who give unlimited responses with the high tiers and not have to keep paying to use.
