How do you make a story that features werewolves, mummies, ghosts and vampires so boring?

The first scenes were interesting, and my interest was piqued. However, all of a sudden, the game throws the MC in wild, fast-paced, albeit repetitive scenarios. As a reader, I love mystery, but too much of it to the point that I lose track of the main plot is off-putting.

Having only the first chapter free means that you don't have any time to care for the characters or plot. The text itself is alright from what I've seen but sadly, I did not feel compelled to purchase the rest. The choices seem bland, and you have to sit through lengthy exposition you don't care about without any truly meaningful decisions. The races you can choose from aren't explained well in-game at first, but the stat entries tell you outright how boring/typical they are. Try it though.
