Boy, you guys that are surprised by subscription fees are clearly not familiar with scan tools, that's for sure. Just about ALL tools have a subscription. Usually, that cost is 1/2 the cost of a new unit all together. That said, the app needs polishing. FWIW, I OWN A Phoenix Plus, and it's been absolutely fantastic. Zero problems. Once the free updates ended, Autoauth and updates stop, BUT, live data and reset functions, codes, all still work. Buying the "One" next.

When I bought the scanner, it said free lifetime updates and said nothing about a subscription. How are you going to charge more for a subscription than what I bought the scanner for? What a joke.

Only bought the thing because the site advertised one manufacturer/one vehicle software pro features for life. Used it 2 or three times and a year later when I really need it for major repairs its asking for resubscribe at 99 dollars for one year. And more over I paid for the device and for a what I believes to be the lifetime honda software. So now im out 200 bucks and dead in the water trying to com pleat my repairs even with the 3 trial days. Wrote to support no reply.
