Torchwise: Flashlight & Alerts

Torchwise is a flashlight app that puts a bright LED torch, flash alerts, SOS, a screen light, a magnifier and a compass on one simple dial. Pick a mode, press the center button, and you have light.

Use it during a power cut, on a night walk, while searching under the sofa, or when your phone is on silent and you still want to notice a call.

KEY FEATURES

- LED flashlight: switch the camera flash on and off in one tap. Set your own on and off timing for a steady or blinking light, and adjust flash strength on supported devices (Android 13+).
- Flash alerts for calls: the LED blinks when someone is calling you.
- Flash alerts for SMS and app notifications: choose which apps can flash, or let every app flash.
- Smart alert rules: skip flashing while the screen is on or the battery is low, and choose whether alerts work in Normal, Vibrate or Silent mode. Use Test flash to preview.
- SOS signal: repeat the S-O-S Morse light pattern with one press.
- Disco strobe: a color strobe for parties.
- Screen light: turn the display into a soft lamp, with your choice of color and brightness.
- Magnifier: use the rear camera to zoom in on small print, switch the light on, and freeze the frame. Nothing is saved or uploaded.
- Compass: see which way you face, with a calibration hint when accuracy is low.
- Quick Settings tile: toggle the torch from the notification shade.
- Optional home screen mode: set Torchwise as your home app to get the torch, screen light and SOS on your home screen, plus an app drawer with search. You can switch back to your previous home app at any time.
- 22 languages, including English, Vietnamese, Spanish, Portuguese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean and Chinese.

PERMISSIONS

- Phone (call state): only to flash the light when your phone rings.
- Notification access (optional): only to flash for the SMS and app notifications you choose. Notification content is not stored or sent.
- Camera: only for the Magnifier.
- Notifications: for optional reminders that the light is one tap away.
