The friction coefficient is important. The default of 0.14 is an ok value for a lubricated thread. For users less familiar with bolted joint design, a drop-down menu with standard friction coefficients would be helpful. The idea of a calculator app should be to have all the info quickly accessible to a busy mechanic in the field without having to look up values elsewhere. Unfortunately, many joints are installed lubricated in real world applications. Therefore, the user should at least be alerted to the difference.

First I thought it's just got imperial threads and was ready to uninstall it, but then I found I was wrong... simple and effective app. Please add some more metric standards and some presets for the friction coefficient that may help people who don't have idea of its value like I do.

Only designed for max torque to shear the bolt. It doesn't take into account parent material. If I have a m12 8.8 bolt threading into 8 mm think aluminum how many Nm do I use? This app can't say
