For business travel, right balance of features I tried many expense trackers to use on business trips. I didn't need budgeting or income tracking features of other apps. I chose Travel Expense as it's interface is fast and easy to use to enter expenses and take a photo of the receipt. The app will export to a .csv that is sent by email. The hierarchy of tracking expenses is you set up one or more "trips" (these can represent projects), then within a trip, you enter your expenses. You set up categories for expenses. There are default categories (airfare, hotel, meals, transportation, etc.) plus you can create custom ones. For each expense, you select the expense category, enter the amount, the currency of payment, and enter a conversion rate. The summary of running cost displays the sum cost in the main currency, though the app stores expense in the local currency. This hierarchy of project/expense category/cost is perfect for my small business. My main need is to track expenses as they occur, so I don't forget them when I put together invoices back at the office. I tend to forget to invoice clients for mileage and cash expenses. 5 stars for minor improvements (have emailed them to developer). Price is right too.

Pretty much worthless now. I've used this app for about a year. For some reason the dev has removed the ability to generate reports from both the Lite and the paid versions. An expense report program is pretty worthless when you can no longer get a report out of it. Oh by the way, even if you uninstall the paid app within the 15-minute time limit you do not get a refund. Beware!

Almost great, need more currencies ADD THAI BAHT!! Please include more currencies...specifically Thai Baht!? Time selection is 30 mins off of actual time and selected time. Please add the option to customize/add non-listed currencies. Dropped to 2 stars until I can use in more countries...definitely has potential for 5.
